The Eastern Cape Aquarium and Aquascaping Club’s mission is to bring together the expertise and experience of its members, with a purpose to share this information with others. The Club strives to safeguard the quality of life for aquarium organisms maintained in aquariums and promote an awareness of natural ecosystems in order to protect and share them with future generations.

Joining a fish or aquatic club has many benefits. To be a part of an organization that help promote, educate, and foster the growth of the hobby is truly priceless. Members also assist each other in many ways, not to mention having access to hundreds of years in combined knowledge, and we even trade and sell fish from time to time.

Breeding Awards Program

breed fish and share knowledge concerning the spawning and rearing of fish.

Horticulture Awards Program

promote the keeping and propagation of a wide variety of aquatic plant species.

Specialist Breeder Program

special interest in a specific class of fish and have bred a large number of fish from that class.

The BAP, along with the HAP, aims to encourage its members to breed fish and share knowledge regarding the spawning and rearing of fish, recognize the achievements of its members in fish breeding and horticulture, and promote an interest in a wider variety of fish and horticultural products while making them available.
